A special YTG4X4 send off in honour of our beautiful mate kri15y

CC was always there for the hunter girls, always offering help and support. She was caring and compassionate like a mother figure to a lot of us. She was fun, vibrant, danced around camp, was aways laughing and very free spirited.

She loved our community and we loved her, very sad to loose such an enthusiastic women but grateful we got to share so many great memories. So many funny moments on the tracks, admiring her fierce determination to “just send it” aka her black collie.

We love you Kris, you will be missed by many

My main goal in life is to pass on the knowledge and lifestyle to my girls that I wish I’d had growing up.

I had absolutely zero knowledge 4wding or cars in general until two years ago, youtube and a workshop manual have become my best friends.

I know I always have the support and knowledge of the YTG4X4 community behind me too.

Now look at us! We’ve already made so many amazing memories, learnt so much, met a tonne of incredible women and my favourite part is the way something about a YTG4X4 spotto sparks a fire in their hearts that fills them with so much excitement and empowerment.

Im so thankful to have found this group not only for the friendships and adventures but for my girls to have such amazing role models to look up to and I’m absolutely certain some of their fondest core memories later on in life will be of our YTG4X4 trips.

On Sunday night the hunter valley lost a beautiful woman and 4wd legend, our girl Kristine aka CC. Sending our deepest condolences to Kristine’s kids and family, we are all so sorry for your loss.

Kris will be sadly missed but never forgotten ~ RIP CC ☀️🍻

Last Saturday a few of us girls attended the _max4

Last Saturday a few of us girls attended the _max4x4_ mega meet at Joe’s Diner.

We took our cars up the flex ramp, had a walk around looking at everyone’s cars there. Was a nice and chill afternoon.

Would love to see more SEQLD YTG4x4 members at the next Max4x4 meet this coming Friday, the 29/07 at 5pm, at Pure Shot Cafe in Brendale.

YTG4X4 - NSW South Coast

June long weekend saw 8 of our members, kids, dogs, partners and our dedicated fanboy brave the bitter cold wind for a 3 night camp at Belanglo State Forest.

We came prepared with trailer loads of wood and chainsaws to cut extra so the fire was always thumping out the heat.

Due to the closure of tracks outside of the camp ground we didn’t move too far from camp except for a mushroom hunt through the woods.

Sunday evening saw the wind finally drop and the camp ovens come out for a communal camp cookout…Pork, chicken, lamb, veggies, gravy…enough to warm even the coldest of bellies.

SEQ Bribie Beach Day

Saturday morning, bright and early, saw some of your SEQ YTG4X4 members meeting up at the Bribie beach access carpark.
With so many new faces, introductions were done while air was let out of tyres before we set off to find out perfect beach day spot….And boy, did we get a good one!

We set up right beside the lagoon crossing, score cards were made and much fun was had amongst ourselves and with other Bribie travelers by giving them scores for their water crossings.

Though the sun was beaming from a blue sky, it is still winter in Queensland so only 5 brave girls hit the water for a swim.

Our beautiful YTG mother, Alicia, had organized a bbq lunch for the girls, and after eating we set off for a drive up the beach (we all got a score of 10 on our water crossings).

The WWII site was closed, so we set up again as far up the beach as we could access. A football was brought out for those active girls while others, like myself, settled down for a nice cheese platter.

As the sun began to wane, those not camping the night packed up and headed home after spending a nice long day relaxing on the beautiful Queensland East Coast.

Thanks to all the girls who came along for an amazing day 🤗💖

YTG4X4 SA Googs Track

What an amazing trip this was, with 7 rigs all up for a 6 day trip from Adelaide.

First night we stopped off at Pildappa Rock for the night. This place is jsut beautiful, the sunset and view from up the top of this rock was amazing.

We set off on day 2 from Pildappa rock to Ceduna where we met up with Jenny Denton who is "Googs" late wife. Jenny with her husband known as googs pushed the Googs track back in the 1970s. She told us what it was like back in the day pushing the track with Goog and how one day he just thought I wonder what's out beyond the scrub and just started pushing.

Unfortunately one of our girls needed some medical assistance on this remote trip, she was treated and flown out by RFD- very thankful for this service and grateful our crew all got home safe.

Looking forward to another trip back here.

Darwin sunset dinner and campout🐊✨

Gathering a small convoy, we headed down the beach and setup camp. We were joined by 2 more cars as we lit a small fire and started dinner.
We were lucky to be joined my a new member as we shared experiences and watched the sunset.

Being a cheeky Tuesday night only 2 of us camped but stayed together until late.
Our night's Supermoon lit up the sky till morning also bringing one of the highest tides I've ever camped during.

Luckily enough we knew it would be high but quickly moved our camp to render other campers who weren't so lucky. 🌊
Our morning was most eventful after we ran up the beach and hand dug a 4x4 and caravan out of the soft sand before a 5.5m tide made things sketchy.
After helping the lovely couple, we shared a morning coffee as they insisted we accept a slab for our efforts. 🤍
